Lake of Our Dream

Next morning I decided to jog along the lake (Upper Arrow Lake). My thirst for new places, my geographic dissatisfaction, which well coexisted with my topographic idiocy, forced me to walk a few kilometers away from the cottages. After five hundred meters I found a place that haven't seen a man for quite a while. There were kilometers of uninhabited beaches. The water was such clear that one could see fish down below. There was no sound of a car or a motor boat.

I was charmed.

My wife made the same trip in the afternoon, and we agreed that we would build our dacha here.

When I came back home I checked the prices for the land in that area. Well, there was a piece of land with hot springs, just for $450 thousand. If hot springs weren't found yet, one could buy 80 acres for $70 thousand. May be I would do it one day. Well, there were roads, you could get solar power stations, biological sewage, and a mobile phone.
