Hot Springs #5

Halcyon Hot Springs

We drove back to the East a little and got into a valley of Upper and Lower Arrow Lakes. In fact, this was the same lake; splitting it into two lakes was very artificial. This lake was long and was stretched practically between Revelstoke and Castlegar.

In the beginning of the Upper Arrow Lake a couple of enterpreneurs purchased a piece of land some ten years ago and built a hotel, cotteges, and a camping site. Whatever you like. There were several types of houses, such as cottages, cabins, and shalets. We rented a cottage for two nights. The most important feature of the resort was the hot springs, floating downhill to the lake and providing salubrious waters to the pools.
